WENDIGOS (Wendigo)
Wendigo's are wood dewling creatures that survive by eating the flesh of human beings. They are immortal and hybernate for years at a time, and survive these hybernations by storing live humans in a cave until they are needed.
Wendigo's were originally men, who became trapped in the woods during a storm, and were forced to eat their fellow towns people. Eating the Flesh of humans can give special powers, Immortality, increased speed and strength, and so if you eat enough of it you become something else, a Wendigo.
To Kill a wendigo you have to set it on fire.
SHAPESHIFTER (Skin)
Starting off life as a human, the shapeshifter encounted a mutation and became a freak. Tired of being labeled a freak the shapeshifter found a way to become someone else.
The shapeshifter can not only take on the appearance of a human, but the longer it stays in that "skin" it gets the original memories of the person it is replicating. It must keep the original person alive to maintain the psycic connection to them.
The only way to identify a shapeshifter from the original person is the eyes. A Shapeshifter has silver eyes.
When changing shapes the shapeshifter must go through a painful sheding of the current skin, and then transform into the new one.
You kill a shapeshifter by shooting it with a silver bullet in the heart.
VAMPIRES (Dead Man's Blood & Bloodlust)
Vampires are creatures that were once human but have been infected with vampire blood. Vampires are not repelled by crosses or Garlic, sunlight and a stake through the heart will not kill them. The only way to kill a vampire is to behead them. Most vampires sleep during the day, and have an insatiable bloodlust. They look human until they come to feed, when a second set of fangs decend. Vampires are also poisoned by being infected with Dead Mans Blood.
Not all vampires feed on human blood, there is a small group lead by Lenore, who feed on cattle to keep themselves alive.
The Vampires the Winchesters encountered were led by Luthor, the old vampire in the group. He was born around 170 years ago, and his mate was Kate, the second in command. Luthor has a history with a vampire hunter called Daniel Elkins who Kate murdered and stole the Colt from, as a gift to Luthor. Other Vampires in the group include Beau who lures victims to him by laying on the road pretending to be dead, and Hank who was killed by Dean. After the encounter with the Winchesters, only two vampires survived, Kate and another unknown female vampire.
REAPERS (Faith & In My Time Of Dying)
Every culture has its own legends about reapers, or the grim reaper. They are the only creatures that can control life and death. They cannot be killed or stopped, and can only be seen by the person they are coming to take. Reapers can be controled by very old and very dark magic, a cross and alter are need to control one. Once the alter and cross are destroyed, the Reaper is free to take whome it wants to, and will probably take the person who has been controling it.
Reapers can also effect relity and human perseption. Making themselves look however they want to.
RAWHEAD (Faith)
Not much is known about this creature. It is human like, and is large and very dangerous. It was killed by a blast from a Taser gun.
PAGAN GOD (Scarecrow)
Vanir is a Norse pagan god, which look like scarecrows, who were attached to a "sacred tree" and brought fertility to the village.
The Vanir would continue to provide full harvests to the town, if every year two sacrifices, a male and a female, were left in the orchard for it.The Vanir takes the skin from its victims, and uses it as a skin for itself
Since the Vanir is a god, it cannot be killed itself. One way to destory the god is to torch the sacred tree.
TULPA (Hell House)
A Tulpa is a Tibetan thought form. Tulpa's are created by using a Tibetan spirit sigil symbol, and the power of belief. If enough people focus on an idea, and belive in it the Tulpa will come to life. Once the idea has been created, a Tulpa takes on the life of its own.
The "Spirit" of Mordechi Murdock, in Richardson, Texas, was a Tulpa. It was created by two teenagers who wanted to create a creepy local haunted house, not knowing what they were doing.
The "Spirit" they created was a man called Mordechi Murdock, who hung is daughters and then hung himself. When a teenager was really killed in the house by Mordechi, the legend changed saying he slit his wrists.
Sam & Dean then tried to change the legend to their favour so that they could kill Mordechi, but when the legend didnt take, they were foced to burn down the house.
SHTRIGA (Something Wicked)
A Shtriga is an Albanian which which feads on 'spiritous vitae' of life's breath. Shtriga's prefer to feed on children as their life-force is stronger than that of an adult. Once it feeds on a child, the childs immune system begins to shut down, and the child falls into a coma, and eventually dies.
The Shtriga is immortal and invunerable to all weapons exept when it feeds, and is in disguise during the day. The Shtriga usually disguises itself as an old woman, but the one faced by Sam & Dean posed as a doctor.
RAKSHASAS (Everybody Loves A Clown)
Rakshasas are creatures of Hindu origins which can appear in human form. They feed on human flesh and can make themselves invisible. They cannot enter a home without first being invited, and their human forms do not age, and are invunerable to most weapons and they must be killed with a dagger made from pure brass. They sleep on a bed of dead insects and feed every 20 to 30 years.The Rakashasa appeared in the form of a clown, which would follow home a child and then murder the parents.
WEREWOLF / MADISON (Heart)
Madison got mugged, and bitten by a werewolf, turning her into one too. Werewolf tun into a humanform, bloodthirsty monster with increased strength and agility, along with canine like teeth and claws, rather than a wolf itself. It is triggered by the moon, and in order too turn the werewolf must first be sleeping. After the person has turned, once they turn back, they do not remember any of the events which took place in their werewolf form. There is no cure for someone who has become a werewolf, and the way to kill a werewolf is a silver bullet to the heat.
ZOMBIE / Angela mASON (Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things)After crashing her car and dying, her best friend Neil, using Ancient Greek magic, was able to reanimate Angela, turning her into a Zombie. Unlike most Zombie Lore, Angela is able to think for her self, and is as agile and strong as a living human. To kill a Zombie you must nail it back down into its grave.
changeling (The Kids Are Alright)A Changeling is a creatures that can take the form of Human Children, a mother Changeling controls the actions of the child Changelings, and steals the real children from families, kepping them alive and feeding from them, as the Changelings take their place, feeding from the human mothers (feeding on their synovial fluid). The human mothers eventually waste away, and anyone who comes between the changeling and their human mother, is killed. The true appearance of a changeling, a dead looking face, with slimy skin, hollowed eyes and mouth with many sharp teeth, can be seen in the Chanelings reflection. To kill a changeling, you must kill the Mother, to do this, you have to set them on fire.
pagan god (Its a very supernatural Christmas)
Madge and Edawrd Carrigan are Pagan god's who pass themselves off as humans in order to survive. The couple are more than 2000 years old, they only kill 3 to 4 humans per year to survive and take their sacrifices during Christmas time. A Pagan god can be killed by an evergreen steak.
Trickster (Tall Tales, Mystery Spot)
The Trickster is a God, it is an immortal creature, who has the ability to alter reality, and thrives on bringing people who think too highly of themselves down. The Trickster feeds on sweets and consumes a lot of calories due to its increased metabolism. To kill a Trickster, it must be stabed with a steak dipped in the blood of its victims.
Witches (Malluses Malificarum)
Witches are humans who sell their souls to be taught the craft. Usually a demon will integrate itself into the human life, and form a coven. The demon will then tempt these women with the gift of magic, usually to allow them to get what they desire, in exchange for their souls. The humans who sell their souls to the demon then go to hell, and later become demons themselves. Witches are humans and can be killed by human methods, but they have the power to kill people remotely using curse bags hidden some where near the victim.
Crocotta (Long Distance Call)
The Crocotta had the ability to mimic the voice of a persons loved one and traditionally uses it to lure them out of their houses and into the woods where it could eat them. The Crocotta faced by the Winchesters is a modern version which uses the telephone switchboard to contact people imitating the voices of dead loved ones to try and convince the victim to kill themselves. The Crocotta calls from the number SHA33.
Dr Benton (Time is On My Side)
Not a Demon, Vampire or like any other creature, Dr Benton is an immortal human, who by the use of magic, has found a way to keep himself alive forever by harvesting organs from human beings. He was born some time in the 18th century, where he was an up and coming doctor, he translated ancient spells which let him stay alive forever. Since he was immortal, Sam and Dean stopped the Doctor, by securing him into a freezer.
