WOMAN IN WHITE (Pilot)
A woman in white is an angry sprit that walks highways and water ways luring unfaithful men to their grave. Usually a woman in white is born from a Bride who's husband has cheated on her, and in a temporary moment of insanity kills her children and then herself.

The Woman in White features in the pilot episode of Supernatural, and is the ghost of a young woman called Constance Welsh. Constance's husband cheated on her, and she killed her children in the bath of their house and then took her own life by throwing herself from a bridge. Constance now walks the road and bridge where she died, asking for drivers to take her home.Constance realises she can never go home, from fear of seeing her kids and leads the male drivers back to the bridge where she died and kills them.
Constance's spirit was put to rest when he was finally taken home and met her children.




VENGEFUL SPIRIT (Dead In The Water)
When a person dies a violent death, sometimes the spirit is trapped in the place of death until it can get revenge on the person who killed it.

Peter Sweeny was a child Lake Manitoc, Wisconsin, Murdered by two other children in the Lake. His body was abandoned in the lake and no one know what happened to him. Since his death, Peter has been killing the loved ones of the boys who murdered him in the lake, so that they could feel the pain his mother felt when he died.

With the body buried within the lake, and no bones to burn the only way to stop Peter is to give him what he wants, the death of his murderers.



BLOODY MARY (Bloody Mary)
Bloody Mary is one of the most well known legends, originating in Fort Wayne,Indiana where a young woman called Mary Worthington was murdered in front of a mirror. Mirrors are known to trap spirits and this is what happened to her. Mary was having an affair with a surgeon called Trevor who cut her eyes out when he learned she was going to confess his secret to his wife. In her last minutes, Mary tried to spell out the name of her killer in the mirror.

To summon the spirit of mary, you say "Bloody Mary" three times into a mirror. Once called, Mary will come to someone who has a dark secret, a secret where someone died. She then punished the person by forcing their eyes to bleed.





THE HOOKMAN (Hookman)
The Urban Legend of the hook man is world famous, the body hanging upside down over the car, and "Aren't you glad you didn't turn on the lights" written in blood on the wall and two classic parts of the story.

The story s based on an old clergyman from Iowa, Jacob Carnes, who openly preached against the red light district that was due to open in his town. The preacher also lost his hand, which was replaced by a silver hook.

Before his death, Jacob Carnes murdered 13 prostitues on 9 mile road, stringing some of them upside down as a warning to others.

Jacob's spirit, bound to the hook, which was donated to the church where he preached after his death, latched onto the preachers and preachers daughters who occupied his house after his death. Punishing the guilty people in their life.

To kill the hook man, you destroy the hook. The hook was salvaged into a cruisifix necklace, which was burned in salt to destroy his spirit.





MARY WINCHESTER (Home)
Murdered in her own home by The Unknown Demon, Mary was pinned to the celing and burned to death. Mary's spirit stayed in her house to protect it from other spirits that might try to make it their home.

Mary appears as a buring figure, and used her spirit to bannish the poltergeist which tried to kill her sons.



POLTERGEIST (Home)
Evil spirits that haunt family homes, poltergeists cause flickering lights, scratching noises and move objects when no one is around. A poltergeist will not rest until the family in the house it is haunting are dead. To bannish a poltergeist, you need to place a mixture of herbs into the 4 corners of the house.



DR ELLICOTT & THE ASYLUM PATIENTS (Asylum)
Dr Elicot was a leading psyciatric doctor at the Roosevelt Asylum, he delt with violent patients and the criminally insane. Dr Ellicott carried out experiments upon his patients from a secret room hidden in the South Wing of the Asylum. He used electro-therapy rage treatments to try and 'calm' his patients. In 1964, The patients rioted against Ellicott and killed him, hinding his body inside his secret room.

Ellicotts spirit became trapped within the Asylum, along with those of the inmates. The inmates wandered the halls trying to tell their secrets of what Ellicott did to them to anyone who entered, meanwhile Ellicott performed the same experiments upon any one who entered driving them insane.

Like all spirits, to banish Ellicott, just find his body, and salt and burn his bones.





PHANTOM VEHICLE(Route 666)

When an evil human being dies, sometimes their spirit can become fuesed to objects which they were tied to in life. During the 1960's Cyrus Dorian terrorised the african american community of the small town Cape Girardeau. Using his truck Cyrus killed serveral people, which the police "over looked".

One night Cyrus attacked Martin Robinson, an african american , who was set to mary Cyrus ex-girlfriend, who was white. Martin fought back, killing Cyrus and hiding him inside his truck, and then rolling it into the swamp. Martin, and other towns people covered up Cyrus' death.

Cyrus' spirit came back, haunting the highways of the town after the Mayor nocked down Cyrus' old house. After killing all the people connected to covering up his death.

Cyrus' phanton truck was destroyed by forcing it to cross over hallowed ground, which will destroy any spirit.



HAUNTED PAINTING (Provenance)

In 1910, the Merchant family got a family portait painted. It showed the father, Isaiah, his wife, two sons and adopted daughter. The painting became infused with the spirit of the daughter, after she murdered her family in their sleep with a barbours razor.

The painting itself changes to give clues to the outside world about the little girl. In the original painting Isaiah is looking down at his daughter, but once she comes out of it, he is looking out at her, the razor blade also dissapears along with the daughter.

Whenever the painting is placed into a household, the daughter will come out of the painting at night and slit the throats of whoever is in the house.

To destory the ghost of the daughter, simpy buring the painting is not enought, it regenerates itself also, since the Merchant family were cremated after death, to destory the girl her toy doll, made with her own hair, had to be burned.





H. H. HOLMES (No Exit)
Americans first serial killer murdered over 27 people, although some people thing the total might be closer to 100, and hid their bodies inside his "murder castle" which consisted of over 60 rooms and 51 hidden rooms cut into walls, with hidden doorways and trapdoors, in which he would trap his victims in before he would kill them.His victim was usually a young blonde woman. His ghost haunts an appartment building in Philadelphia, which was next to the prison where he was executed over 100 years ago. He prays on blones as he did in life, and traps them underground in a secret "basement" area in the complex. He is one of the most powerful spitits he winchesters have faced, his spirit leaves behind an ectoplasm. His spirit was killed by surrounding him in a salt circle, and filling in the basement with concrete to ensure he would never get free.





GUDING SPIRIT (The Usual Suspects)
Claire Becker was murdered by a cop and her body hidden in an abandoned buildig on Ashford street in Baltimore, Maryland. Appearing to people before they too died, the winchesters assumed that she was a vengeful spirit. Also, she would leave behind the words "danashulps", which, because spirits sometimes get the letters mixed up when trying to communicate was a clue to lead the brothers to her body and let her murder be solved.



NURSE GLOCKNER (Folsom Prison Blues)
Killed during a Prison Riot, Nurse Glockner was the nurse at Green River County Detention Center, where a lot of her patients suffered heart attacks and died. Her spirit was released when the old wing of the prison was re-opened and she began to kill prisoners again, by giving them heart attacks. Nurse Glockner was destroyed when Sam and Dean, salted and burnt her bones.





FATHER THOMAS GREGORY (Houses of the Holy)
A young priest at Our Lady of the Angels church, Thomas was murdered on the steps and died in the arms of another priest of the church, Father Reynolds, before he could be givevn his last rights. He belived he had been summoned through Father Reynolds prayers for help, and he had returned to him as an Angel. He spoke to people who he belived needed redemption to kill people who he saw as evil. Father Gregory's spirit could finally rest after he was given his last rights.



JONAH GREELY (Roadkill)
Jonah was hit and killed by driver, Molly NcNamara and her husban David, on Highway 41, Nevada. Molly was also killed during the accident, and Jonah's wife was so upset by the accident, that he killed herself. Each year, on the anniversary of his death, Jonah finds another car driver to kill. Each year he also relives the accident, and hunts down and tortures Molly. His spirit was killed when Sam dn dean Salted and Burn his corpse.



MOLLY MCNAMARA (Roadkill)
Holly was driving with her husband on Highway 41, and hit and killed Jonah Greely, killing herself in the accident. For 15 years Molly has re-lived that night, unaware that she is dead. Sam and Dean encounter Molly, and do not tell her that she is dead to get her to help them find Jonah. Molly was finally able to move on once Sam and Dean reveal to her that she is dead, and her husband is alive and well.





MAGGIE THOMPSON (Playthings)
Maggie drowned in her Family owned hotel, the Pierpont, in Cornwall, Connecticut. After she died, she returned as a vengeful spirit, but was kept harmless by her surviving Sister, Rose's, Nanny, Marie, by using VooDoo, and then by Rose herself. When rose suffers a stroke and cannot perform the rituals anymore, Maggie appears to her Grand-daughter, Tyler. The Girls become friends, and when Tyler's family decide to sell the hotel, Maggie begins to kill people helping it to sell, because she is afraid she will be left alone. Finally, Maggie lures Tyler into the pool where she died, and Sam jumps in to save her. Maggie's spirit lets go of its vengance, when he sister Rose dies, and the sisters can be seem playing together in the hotel.



Callie Garrison (Bedtime Stories)

Callie is not a ghost but rather an out of body spirit. When she was a child, Callie was poisoned by her step mother and fell into a coma, since then her father has been reading her fairy tales and keeping her alive on life support at the hospital. During this time Callie, still in the form she was when she was poisoned, has been acting as a Vengeful spitit, acting out real world versions of the Fairy Tale stories her father has been reading her. Once Sam revealed the truth to her father about how she became ill, he let Callie go and allowed her to die, and her spirit went with her.


Ghost Ship (Red Sky at Morning)

The ghost of the Espirito Santo is a ship which is a death omen for the ghost of a sailor who was hung for treason by his own brother, and so now kills people who have killed someone in their family. Once you see the ship, it means that the ghost is coming to kill you by drowning you on dry land. The ghost was put to rest, when Sam and Dean summoned the ghost of the sailors brother.



Morton House (Ghostfacers)

The Morton house is known as the leap year ghost, and every February 29th becomes the most haunted place in america. The site itself is haunted by one ghost Freeman Daggett, and several Death Echoes. Freeman Daggett was lonely and paranoid and worked in a hospital. He would bring home the corpses and dress them up for a birthday party in his bomb shelter. He commited suicide himself using horse tranquilisers. If any living person was in his house on February 29th, he would capture, and then kill them to continue his party.
